SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium Tickets

The aquarium is open daily, but it can be busy during peak periods such as school holidays and weekends. To avoid the crowds, it's recommended to visit during the week, particularly in the morning or late afternoon. The aquarium also offers Night Owls events, where you can explore the aquarium after hours.

The oldest animal in SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium is the lungfish, which is estimated to be over 80 years old. The aquarium has a breeding program for lungfish, which are considered living fossils due to their unique evolutionary history.

Here are the different zones at SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium:

• Bay of Rays: This exhibit features a large, open tank filled with different species of rays, including the iconic Australian stingrays.
• Dugong Island: Visitors can see the resident dugongs, Pig and Wuru, as they swim and play in their underwater home. The exhibit also includes interactive displays that educate visitors about these gentle sea mammals.
• Great Barrier Reef: This exhibit showcases the vibrant and diverse ecosystem of the Great Barrier Reef, with over 5000 marine creatures including sharks, rays, and tropical fish.
• South Coast Shipwreck: Visitors can explore a recreated shipwreck and see the animals that make their home in and around the wreckage, including sea turtles, octopuses, and colorful fish.
• Shark Valley: This exhibit is home to a variety of shark species, including grey nurse sharks, reef sharks, and the massive sandbar shark. Visitors can watch as they swim through the underwater tunnel and overhead glass walkway.
• Jurassic Seas: This exhibit takes visitors back in time to the prehistoric seas, showcasing marine creatures that lived millions of years ago, such as the giant Nautilus and the living fossil, the Lungfish.
• Penguin Expedition: Visitors can take a boat ride through a recreated Antarctic landscape, complete with a colony of Gentoo and King Penguins.
